It's really impossible to find real Italian canned tuna in the US. The tuna lobby has eliminated the competition. Italian bluefin or yellowfin tuna (not albacore) are caught off southern Italian coasts. Learn more about why Italian tuna is so great. My favorites are Callipo and Sardanelli from Calabria, Tonno Colimena from the Ionian sea, and Nino Castiglione and Campisi from Sicily.
